Watch out for the Snake! (skin)

Well my mom made a frightening but cool discovery when she was picking up pool toys around the yard. After picking up a beach ball she saw what she thought was a snake but turned out it was the skin of a snake in perfect condition. Andrew is all in to bugs, reptiles, nature, space, you name it, so it was sooooo cool! Here are some pictures of Andrew holding it and up close pics. Pretty cool, even cooler that it was just the skin and it was probably just a black/king snake.Andrew's new pet snake skin, mom still kept at a distance!
I think he would like a real pet snake! Actually I(april) like snakes(the non venomous kind) of course, but Mark said they were only good to wear. (in the 80's)!!
Snake eye holes. Perfectly in tact. I am sure my dad would not have his finger in his mouth like that if it was real. He wouldn't even be that close! Andrew loved it!
We measured it at about almost 6 feet long!!!!!
Looked like a copper head to me, but of course mom and dad did some web surfing and they said it was a black snake. It was a pretty cool discovery and good teaching moment for Andrew. On God's creatures and a little bit of snake awareness/safety.

A BFF'S Birthday Bash

Last weekend we went to a fun Birthday celebration for the kids best friend Eric. He turned 4 and decided since they had such a good time with a moon walk "jumpy thing" for his 3 year Birthday, they would get another one for this year. The kids and big kids had a blast. We won't mention any one getting stuck on the way out Joel! We had fun jumping, playing at the playground, trampoline, good food and spending time with our dear friends. It was a fun day! "Jumpy Thing'

"Go speed Racer Go!" Andrew has now decided he is having a Speed Racer Birthday when he is 5 (it is in March!!) and he is going to be speed racer for Halloween! *subject to change numerous times before then*
"Go Speed Racer", Who is that behind the speed racer masks? WOW the sun was bright!
I thought this was so precious. Here are pictures of Andrew and Eric at Eric's 1st Birthday Party. Wow they grow up fast!
Time to open presents, Eric had plenty of help!
"Picnic", time for chicken nuggets(eric ,andrew and morgan's favorite) and ........
Birthday hat's and yummy cake!!! Betsy had a friend make Eric's cake, I'll have to get her name and number and I am sure it will be a re run of this one......
Waiting patiently for speed racer cake........
Speed Racer Cake. Looked to cool to eat!!
On your mark, get set, go speed racer, go.............
Couldn't keep her off the trampoline. Once we get settled down Morgan is going to tumbling and gymnastics. The kid is a human spring!
Giggle boxes!!!!!!!
She loves to slide. This one is super slippery, so I have to have my ball glove to catch her!!!!!
Back yard of fun!!!!! We love to play at eric's house. Lots to do, and sometimes able to get some R&R in the hot tub, but not this day!
"Daddy's Girl" "Bye Eric", We had a great time at your party! Thanks for letting us come celebrate another Birthday with you, and look forward for many to come!!!!!!!
After all the guests left we stayed for a cook out and the kids played in eric's fun room!

and tried out some new Birthday toys. A fun car launcher, and yes we want one of those too, because they are '"Sooo coool momma"!

One last slide and time for the jumpy thing to go bye bye. That is always a big deal so we entertain inside while they come take the jumpy thing away. Can't wait until next year!!Happy Birthday Eric. We love you !!!

Braves Game

Well last friday night we finally made it to a Braves Game this year. It was a late Fathers Day gift outing with a gift certificate that was suppose to be a Mark and Andrew / guys night out, but we all went on a "Family date night" . Did they win of course not, did we have a great time, of course we did!!Of course we had to start out the night right with going to the Varsity for some greasy food first!
Right down her alley, she loves greasy food! and lots of " fry, fries!"
Andrew had to get a varsity hat as soon as we got there. Of course the kid eats anything so he had to sample a hamburger, hotdog and fries and some of daddy's f.o.(frosty orange).
Well we made it, theres the dug out. Don't know half of them but who cares.

Time for cotton candy! I think it is not even the 2nd inning!!!!
Andrew took this picture of the diamond, not bad Andrew!
Jeff Francoeur leading off, and I think he actually made it home. They were tied at one time but of course lost 5-9 to the Mets.

Too cute! I found them looking on at the batting cages, yes and that is me coming out of the bathroom!! What a shock!
THE WAVE!!!!!!! We had it going for 2 rounds and the section in front of us started it. Morgan was doing the entire body wave with help from daddy.
Another picture taken by Andrew. Good picture Andrew, not so good of me though. Morgan is still holding her cotton candy. I think it finally melted.
"Daddy's Girl", she tells me that daily!!!! She had a ball! I am so glad we took her, she almost went to mee mee and paw paw's for a spend the night party.Sharing a seat, she is really Andrew's biggest fan!!!
More sugar, that's ok though, they must have run the bases upstairs at the kids zone 20 times!!
Self explanatory!!!!! I forgot how many bats, ball's, gloves, bases, etc is on the "fire work shooter" as Andrew puts it. We didn't stay for the friday fire works, they were pooped after they came down from the sugar rush.
They were given instructions, then they were off, about 20 times, but of course my camera died so that is all she wrote of the braves games pictures. We had a blast!!
(Before the camera died) She was so happy to be there. A little overwhelmed at first and not sure where she was, but loved it!!
She loves her "1st official Braves Tee" she is wearing at her first Braves game!

The peanuts came somewhere before or after the cotton candy, but they ran it off at the kid zone and crashed before we got to 85. We had a great time at the Braves Game.

Last September Swim

Well about a week ago sunday was the last swim for me and the kids at Mee Mee and Paw Paw's house. Ever since they put the pool up around memorial day we have made sunday a regular swim day. After church we go to mee mee and paw paw's for lunch and a swim. Sometimes Mark joins us for lunch but hasn't had much down time to swim. My favorite thing other than swimming, playing in the pool with my kids, playing"wave pool",having "me" time and all the other pool favorites are watching the hummingbirds in their backyard. Man they are fast and hard to take pictures of but I managed to get a few and here are some last summer pics of the kids in the pool. We were going to have a take the pool down party but I believe it is going to be too cold for the kids to participate in that, so we enjoyed our last swim day and are looking forward to next summer. My 10th time trying but I finally got him!
Still got him....
Check that out!, He is really relaxing! Came a long way from sitting on the ladder playing "Life gaurd''!
My little guppie!
got him again, barely..
Loves his life jacket, and his shades
There she goes making laps again....
Mee Mee and Morgan.
There she goes again.....
Lazy boy.......

Thank You Mee Mee and Paw Paw for a fun Summer! We really enjoyed spending sunday afternoons with you. Thanks for lunches, swimming, snacks, juice, new tooth brushes, tooth paste, our new flip flops, and just being our mee mee and paw paw. Can't wait to do it again next year, and looking forward to living closer to you too. We love you!
