2010 Women Softball Championship Winners!!

I myself finally made a blog post! My church team and I won the Women's Softball 2010 Championship. I was so honored to be a part of this team. I was able to play with some amazing athletes. I enjoyed making new friends, fellowship, and them challenging me to be my best. The team we beat for the championship was bitter sweet to me because it was my old team. Of course it is all for fun, excercise and fellowship, but the last few games were very fun and exciting. My batting improved which was a confidence booster and I got my old nick name back "slider"-well "dirtiest slider". I love sliding. I had made up my mind to slide after 2 very close calls by umps calling me out,so I put my sliding pants on ,got down and dirty, and was safe,2x when it really counted!I am looking forward to joining these ladies again next year, and will patiently wait for my championship shirt to arrive and our pic to be posted on our church's website in a couple of weeks! Way to go Ballers for being undefeated,1st place for the season and 2010 Champions!

Backyard friends

I'm not surprised anymore to find a deer in our backyard. We actually enjoy it,they are getting use to us too. Here are a couple of pics of our backyard friends when I pulled up after dropping the kids off to school. They never get to see them, because it is so early when they are out. We also have lots of hummingbirds, and got one being still,a rare occasion. In my future blog, there may be a pic of a goat,I think we are going to be getting one soon,he will never go hungry at the Staples house!Living in the woods has really grown on us,love our surroundings and wouldn't trade it!

Morgan's 1st day of School 2010

Morgan's 1st day of school finally started this week. She was so excited. She is doing so well. She loves her teachers, and she is making new friends. She has really taken off with learning too.I am so excited to see what God has planned for Morgan this year,it is going to be a great school year! I started this week as well,as the music and movement teacher 3 days a week at Morgans school.Other than my body being in shock from literally, moving, singing and dancing for 3 hours straight, I am surviving and having fun doing it. I just love watching the children learn and have fun with music. They already are asking for their favorite songs! It is a very rewarding job,and I can't wait until next week.I already have some fun things in store for my new little friends.
Here are some pics of Morgan's first day of school. She picked her outfit, shoes and back pack out by herself. All I can say,is that is so Morgan!

Princess party

Here are some pics from a Princess Party Morgan went to last weekend. It was a Birthday party for one of her friends from sunday school. They had a very special guest come to the party. Cinderella came for a visit and played games, face painted, sang and danced, and made balloon animals. There was a boutique set up for the girls. The little princesses were able to get their nails, makeup, and jewelry. Everyone had a magical time at the princess party, and they were all so beatiful. It was priceless to see their little faces light up.I loved the fact that in Morgans world, she was the real deal. What a wonderful, fun filled,Birthday,Princess Party. I already know what kind of party Morgan will be having when she is 5. I sure am glad I have Princess connections.

Kennedy Space Center-Summer 2010

Here are some more pics from our Summer Vacation to Florida. These are when we went to The Kennedy Space Center. I took over 100 pics that day,so here are some of the highlights. The pictures don't do any justice to the real deal. Everything was absolutely amazing, some breath taking, some for me overwhelming to comprehend, but over all good day, gald we were able to have this experieince and of course the kids thought it was really cool. We were actually there all day, taking a bus to each site and taking in the attractions, sites, etc. It made for a long day but was worth it!
It really made me appreciate the accomplishments of Nasa and what is yet to come for our Space program in the future.
