Snow Mountain 2010

Well we made it to the big rock for snow mountain. It was one of the coldest days and we went early, but we managed to stay very warm and warmed up in a hurry. Me and Mark rotated tubing down the mountain on our own and then with Andrew. We had a blast! Morgan was too short to ride this time but they had a snow angel area for the younger kids which had little snow sleds, and other fun activities they enjoyed.
Andrew also took part in the sledding area between tubing down the snowy mountain, aka,"The Lawn" at stone mountain.Morgan in the background about to go down.(about 50 ft)
Carving at Stone Mountain,we also love to climb the mountain anytime,my kids are pros.
Snow Mountain starts at the top of the lawn area that is also the hot spot for the laser show in the summer. The snow mountain area is transformed around the end of November and stays open until march. 400 feet down, which on a tube takes about 10 seconds flat! Lots of fun!
Snow zone where all of the kids activities take place.
Morgan on the junior slopes,"Baby Bogging". What a fun day. Hopefully we will have a lot more of the real stuff soon and we can stay home and so some sledding and tubing of our own.

1st Snow for 2010

It was merely a dusting, but we'll take it. Hopefully it is just the 1st snow and not the only snow for this year. We don't see much of the white stuff here in the south ,so we get a little excited and carried away. It had sleeted on and off during the afternoon, but didn't really start snowing until 9:00 pm,but of course when we saw it coming down ,we had to get out in it for a while. Morgan slept through it and mark came out for a snowball fight of course. Andrew and our neighbor Megan had a blast in the little bit of snow they had to work with. We are thankful for just the dusting we got and hope we see it again and much more of it before winter is over!
Andrew in his pjs and Sunday dress shoes, trying to catch a few flakes!
Trying to make a "mini snowman".

Our fire pit, still under construction, but we still use it when we get a chance. Would of been a good night to have a fire and roast marsh mellows!
Last year when we had 8 inches of snow,Morgan called our house "The Snowy Castle",in this picture you can at least see it,last year it was solid white. So hope we see that much snow again soon!

Megan and Andrew,of course with a "mini snowball" aiming for me!
Well,we enjoyed the little bit of snow we had,and Andrew is already praying for more snow. His prayer was answered last year when it snowed 8 inches on his Birthday, maybe he will get another answered prayer for snow, hopefully earlier than March!

Christmas Morning 2009

This was our first Christmas in our new house. We are loving our new surroundings, family, and everything/everybody being so close to us! Here are some pics of Christmas morning.

Morgan got her wish,a new Princess bike!
Andrew also got his wii he has prayed for, begged us for and asked 4 santa for, bless his heart,he is really enjoying it,and I'd be lying if I said we weren't enjoying it too. Good family fun and awesome work outs. Jillian Micheals will be kicking my butt soon, and hopefully off!
Although Christ is the center of our life and the only reason we celebrate Christmas, We also take part in Santa. That was a very fun and magical time as a child for me and mark and we decided to continue the tradition! Like mark said we only have a few years with Santa fun and visits,so we are going to let the kids enjoy it while they can,we would never not let them enjoy that part of childhood, along with the Easter bunny, halloween and even the tooth fairy!!!

Family Portraits 2009

Here are just a few of the 500 plus pics we had taken after Thanksgiving with our family for the parents. We are rarely all together,so this was a special day and a long one but had a great time together and finally accomplished our goal of family portraits.
