Summer Fun

Kids are having a blast this summer,especially when they have play dates.The last few days they have been enjoying their cousin Sheridan's company. They have worked hard and spent most of their time buliding frog habitats.Morgan was able to pick the first cuccumber from the garden,not that she will eat it though.They also have seen the movie "marmaduke" thanks to Mee Mee,done a lot of swimming,and finish the night off with Sheridan reading them their Bible story before bed.The kids have loved having Sheridan over,what a fun summer so far.

Fishtales on Lake Lanier

A couple of weeks ago our good friends had told us about a restuarant on lake lanier at a marina,so we thought we would try it out.The view was nice,food was great,but the highlight of the whole night was the huge sand area they have for the kids,fully supplied with beach toys right next to the dining area outside. They have music as well. Me and Mark loved the food and atmosphere and the kids loved the sand. Made us really look forward to our trip to the beach in about 3 weeks!

Pool time at Mee Mee and Paw Paws 2010

Our favorite part of summer is spending time at Mee mee and Paw paws pool. They finally got it up and running a couple of weeks ago so we go about 3 times a week now. They have really taken off with swimming this year. Morgan is all about the water,It takes Andrew about a week to warm up,but he is swimming on his own,handstands,cannon balls,etc. They are having a blast! Mee mee also has a garden we have been watering and helping take care of as well. Hope to be taking some fresh veggies home soon.Loving the pool,Thanks Mee Mee and Paw Paw!

Vacation Bible Camp, "Rescue 91:1"

Just a few pics of Vacation Bible camp this year. I was Andrew's group leader so I was quite busy with 16 kindergarten kids,but had a great assistant this year,my neighbor. She did an awesome job!
This year the theme was based on the Bible verse Psalms 91:1
"He who dewlls in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the Shadow of the All mighty"
It was a rescue/community/medical theme. Nurses,Dr's,emt,police,fire and rescue.
I wasn't able to get many pics of Morgan since she was in the preschool area,but she had a great week as well.

Of course there were theme days,and one day was hat,glasses,socks day. One pic is when they went to the police station,the Bible study was when paul and Silas were in Jail,and they had a "pretend jail. All the sites were wonderful,and we had a great week in Bible Camp.1900 Children attended,and over 70 gave their life to Christ! Pretty Amazing!Glad to be a part of it!Will be doing again next year!

Crepe Mrytle Festival 2010

Last weekend we went to a Summer festival that our local town has every year. They have an "Idol" contest and last year our niece/kids cousin won it last year. This year she passed on the title to a new winner and sung for about 30 minutes. Of course we follow and support her anywhere and have lots of fun doing it. Here are some pics of the festival and all of the activities we enjoyed,our favorite of course is watching and listening to Ashton perform!

Random Summer pics

Here are a few random pics of the summer,having a problem attatching a post to pic, so these pics include Andrew's homemade Star wars mask him and his Daddy made out of a colored picture,card stock,glue and a rubber band. Andrew said he and Daddy are making his Halloween costume this year,so that will be fine by me!

The kids are all in to makinf forts and spend the nights since it is summer. They have pretty much spent the summer nights out of their own beds and in their home made forts in the play room. Again,fine by me.

They have made some cools pictures,both of their coloring skills have improved with age. They are still practicing some reading,writing and Bible studies this summer as well.

Also pic of a beautiful rainbow we saw on our way home ironically from a going away party for friends that we were rained out from,but stuck together and made the most of it.

We are really enjoying our summer,more pool pics with friends and at our mee mee and paw paws pool,Crepe mrtyle festival,and Vacation Bible School. Will post soon.

At this point it was too late! Thank Goodness for a change of clothes I had in the car I had not planned on having! Bonus! The coaches wife had reassured me to let girls be girls,and this is coming from a high maintance(but sweet) coaches wife/friend. We were so involved in the party,awards,and games we kind of let the girls just play and this is what they found! To be a 3 yr old little girl playing in a mud puddle ,what fun!!!

Well,the Hebron T-ball Braves had a pretty good season. We lost 2 games out of 12,but lost the championship title in the tournaments,but it's all good and all over for another year,time sure does get by!

Andrew was so proud of his trophy,and we were proud of what the coach had to say. He had improved greatly since last year,good hitter,playing some infield,and really enjoyed himself this year,so happy for Andrew!

Coach Tim,Coach Bill and all the Hebron T-Ball WeBraves! We were so Blessed to have the Coach 's we had. Great season,lots of fun,can't wait until Pee-Wee ball next year and hoping we can get Coach Tim again! Enjoyed every minute of it,hate that it ended so fast! Next season will be here before we know it!
