We had Morgan's 2 year Birthday party at Stone Mountain Park. It was a very warm, but beautiful day. We set up tables in the picnic area and had Subway, chips, watermelon , cake and ice cream!! After the party and opening presents we all headed to the big lawn in front of the mountain to watch the Laser show with all of our family and friends. 30 total!! It was so much fun! Can't wait to do it next year, Stone Mountain seems to be a tradition for Morgan's Birthday Party celebration so far! Same area, different spot this year. We enjoyed it and so did she!
Morgan and her friend Zachary. He is trying to get then both a punch balloon, so much for the decorations.
I am ready to eat. Birthday girl goes first. Even if I am going to have just chips and cake!
Her own little private picnic. Eating in a big girl chair with her cousin Sheridan.
We had all of our family and close friends to help us celebrate! 30 all together!
Morgan's "Dora" cake. Decor is a Dora castle with a track of course for Dora and her horse. Daddy helped decorate it. Not many pictures (in my camera) of Mark. He is behind the scenes, but he was there!
More of our friends and family.
I am having a great time at my party, I am ready to open my presents!
A rare photo. ME and Morgan! I am always behind the camera(not a bad thing).
Time for presents! She was given plenty of Dora dolls, movies, clothes, books, and a entire baby set for her new room(bed, high chair, swing) and getting a kitchen set just for her when we move in.
Little stinker wouldn't blow her own candles out! Sheridan, Zachary, myself and Andrew had to help. I think mark is partially in this picture!
She had a lot of presents to open. Opened until dark, then it was time to go to the Laser show!
Almost done. She had an entire picnic table full of presents to open!
That's all!! Thank You everyone!!!!
Morgan and one of her friends on the big lawn getting ready for the Laser show. Running around barefoot of course!
How precious! We caught Morgan with her arm around Andrew, sitting next to her 2 favorite friends Eric and Zachary during the laser show.! How sweet. Perfect way to end a fun party with the ones she loves! She loves Andrew! He is her absolute favorite person in the whole world!
We can not believe Morgan is 2 years old already! Time flies! We had a wonderful time celebrating her Birthday Party at Stone Mountain Park with lots of family and friends. We had good food, cake, lots of presents and finished off the night with the Laser show.
It was one of the best shows at the Mountain in the 20 plus years we have been going!Awesome fireworks too! Perfect ending to a fun, perfect Birthday Celebration!Happy Birthday Morgan!
We love you Morgan! We Thank God everyday for you! You are precious and we couldn't imagine life without you. Your Big brother Andrew Loves and adores you. Your Family Loves and cherishes you! Your friends enjoy you and love you very much.
We are so grateful for you and you mean the world to us! We are still in awe of God's blessings he has given us through adoption. We are grateful for the blessing of parenthood God has allowed us to experience. We are also grateful for the people he has put in our lives at the right place and time in order for us to have these two precious children! We are blessed beyond measure and hope to have many more Birthday celebrations to come!

Special Delivery
Yesterday Morgan received some special packages from some very special people. Morgan will be 2 years old on Friday, July 18th. Last night before she went to bed we let her open some packages from her extended (birth) family. She was so excited! We save each card and pictures of her gifts so we can share with her one day and let her know how many people she has that loves her very much. We are very grateful for her birth families and all that they have done and continue to do through gifts and cards. Thank You!, and Morgan Thanks you as well!
Morgan's Early Birthday Surprise
Morgan was given an Angel(with wings that light up and lights that twinkle!) by a very special Angel her birth mother.
Wow, she loves all of her presents! Can't wait to open more on her actual birthday!
She loves clothes and loves blues clues too, what a girl!
Tearing in to the pretty paper..........
Still working on it, I think she likes the paper and bows just as much as the presents!
She Loves her Angel!!!! We can't wait until we can put all her new things in her new room!!

Summer School at The Staples House
Andrew is reviewing his bible study, telling me the story and asking the questions. Precious!
Morgan loves to color and glue stick, when she is not using stickers!
Morgan looks like she is ready for school. She is going to have so much fun!
What a little artist!
Andrew practicing his letters and writing words
Working hard! Good job Andrew!
After 2 hours, and a lot of patience, Andrew traced and wrote the entire alphabet and his numbers! Way to go Andrew! He only had one melt down, because he went out of the lines. He is my ocd child!
Summer is all about fun, but we still do daily bible studies and we always learn something new every day whether it is on a field trip to Stone Mountain or Walmart. This year Andrew will be in Pre-K and Morgan will be in 2 year preschool. Andrew is practicing writing his name, letters, words, numbers, and shapes. Morgan is learning her colors, shapes, and some letters. She mostly likes to color or glue stick everything! We are having a great summer playing and learning!

Mark and the kids getting ready for the Firework show!!!
Andrew and his buddy Aaron, cousin Sheridan behind them
I am going to be soooo brave this year!!!!!!
Having fun with glow sticks, not brave enough for sparklers yet!!!!!
Morgan is not getting sparklers yet!!!!!!!!
July 4th, 2008!!!!! ( I just love my 2003 date that is forever stored in my camera!)
I am a little late getting 4th of July pictures out, but here are a few. We spent the day with my parents swimming and cooking out, then went to the Staples 12th or 13th(lost count) Annual 4th of July celebration. I didn't get any pictures at The Staples house because we were so busy eating and trying to get out to the fireworks. After eating and celebrating with family and close friends we went to a near by town to enjoy some fireworks. Andrew and Morgan had a ball with their cousins and friends as usual! This year no one was scared of the fireworks! Yeah!

Living Dolls!
I just bought Morgan an old baby bassinet I had found at a yard sale last week so she could have it for her baby dolls for the new house. I didn't plan on putting it out until then, but the kids saw it and wanted to play with it. I had told them to put all their stuffed animals and Morgan's dolls in it so I could put it up. Well they did as I asked, but in the process they put themselves in it also. Of course with those two I always have my camera ready! They are so funny, and good play mates too!

Our day at the big rock
Morgan climbing a little rock in front of "The big rock"
Here comes the train! We are ready to get on after our big climb down!
Finally on the train, Morgan already dancing to the music they had playing
Taking in a 3-d movie, she likes to watch the movie with them off of course
Andrew actually brave enough to keep them on this time, was not sure at first, all kinds of swamp creatures to see , and special effects!
Andrew and Morgan in front of Stone Mountain having another water break, hot day!
Andrew leading the way down the mountain, Morgan following behind, "I'm coming Drew, Drew"
Andrew waiting on us to catch up!
ARE WE THERE YET???? I think Morgan would of rather rode the sky lift down, but she did great, and had fun too!
Yet another break, we are almost to the bottom!, and I only had to carry Morgan twice.
Waiting on the Train, YEA!
Hanging out on top of Stone Mountain. The city of Atlanta behind them, such a Pretty view.
Having fun up top, nice breeze!
They found a perfect spot to play cars for a while and have a snack before heading down.
Here we go, hold on tight, Andrew said to follow the yellow lines.....
Andrew took this picture, Good job Andrew, you are a pro!!!!
Antique car museum
Andrew was so happy we made it inside! It is always closed when we are at the rock, and we are here a lot!
Andrew loves old hot rods and classic cars, well actually any kind of cars. The kids lives and breaths CARS!
Morgan liked strolling through too, there were all kinds of antiques, I especially liked all the bikes hanging from the ceiling.
Watch out, we might lose Morgan in the museum with all the antique baby strollers!
This week the kids and I went to our favorite hang out, Stone Mountain, which is also known as "The Rock". We rode the sky lift up to the mountain, had a wild hair and decided to walk it down. The kids did great, Andrew was "The trail leader" of course, Morgan and I eventually made it down, only after 2 water breaks. We met the train and rode the rest of the way to the front of the mountain, then again walked back to the sky lift where we started. We took in the 3-d "Tall Tales" movie, played in the great barn, fed the ducks and fish, and Andrew was able to sit in a real canoe an older man had out on the lake. Of course he sat in a few inches of water but he thought he was so big(didn't have my camera ready for that one). We love Stone Mountain and had a fun day, we just wish Daddy could of joined us but he was working hard as usual.
We also finally made it in to the Antique Car museum which was pretty neat. They had all kind of antiques other than just cars, it is worth going through one time.
